Well, day 1's are almost always a wash pretty much. Sometimes you get lucky, but I am not really a random vote kind of gal.
I'm not going to be pushing hard for anyone, because the odds of anything being correct so early is really poopy. But later on in the game, the hunches early on might pay off. *hugs spreadsheet closely and strokes it like a pet bunny*
Ugh, I wish studying would be over quickly. Fat chance. I have 3 exams tomorrow. And assignments due. And this weekend I have kids to drop off for parade practice, a Christmas outing with cub scouts, and then 3 parades.
LIFE SUCKS RIGHT NOW!!!

This is the first time in a long time I haven't had leftover revenge motivating me for the first vote. Not that that method ever got me very far... Maybe I'll vote Becky just to even up the score

Also, with people posting they are townies - isn't everyone going to say that? I mean, logically nobody's gonna be all "I'm mafia or independent" right? Or am I missing something?

You're not missing anything...yeah, everyone proclaims innocence. Most are telling the truth and some are probably lying. (Hey, look wife...it's almost like we get to spend time together. Oh wait, no. No, it's really not )

And actually, you've just pointed out the posts that pinged my radar. It's a pretty pointless endeavor to proclaim to be a townie. And mafia are generally known to point this out or bring this up, just to seem "overly" innocent.

Just stopping in on my lunch break. I'm sure I will vote by random #. I always have on day 1 in the past. It sucks but I really don't have anything else to base it on. And I didn't play last game so no revenge votes here. I hate day 1!!!

Well, I couldn't stay away for long... But. I'm assuming it was either rule #4 or #8 that was broken. Or maybe someone didn't think mafia was fun?

Aw, M&M are so cute ... somebody kill them! Joke, though they are cute. I think everyone likes to start out with an obligatory "I'm town"! Later on, when people are trying to make a case against someone, they sometimes come back and point things out like "Lookie, she never said she was town. All she said is that she never killed soandso". Just dotting eyes and crossing tees And, for the record, I am also town.

Meh, but that's a pretty lame suspicion of guilt. I view the obligatory "yo, I am a townie 100%" as useless unless you have some off the wall LD role that is incredibly basic and explicit. Most LD (lie detect) roles don't even accept statements like "I am a townie" anyway.
A lot of people never got into the over zealous "I am townie" claims last time, as far as I remember? I could be wrong there of course, but I don't remember it.
Anywho, some people are very die hard to exclaim it, townie or not. I am just not a player like that. Actions speak louder than words, and hiding behind a generic statement doesn't really generate a lot of faith in what side you're playing on IMO.

I'll be voting random. I revenge voted once and it bit me in the ass, so that's not happening.

So Paige and Kallie are the only only ones left to check in, right?
I will probably have to vote soonish. I have to head up to the campus and do some crap.

While i love a good revenge vote, I can't think of any left over beef from The Walking Dead so I will also be throwing it to random.org later tonight.

I'll be voting random. I'll be waiting until the last minute though for dramatic effect.

Checking in! No hunches so far, although I don't have a feel for any of you.. yet! I won't vote too randomly. Must review the thread to deduce sinister characters.

All right all right, so I have to vote now. Narrowing my quaint little list of suspects, I am going to:
Vote=Stephanie
Sorry if I am wrong, which I probably am, because it's just a D1 hunch. But better a small hunch than a random generator vote.

I'm still intrigued by the no-nos the sisters pointed out. Claire thought it might be #4 or #8 -- is one of you jerks role-hinting already?? Who hasn't checked in yet, anyone? Kallie? I'll keep an eye on things today to see if anything suspicious, but otherwise I'm afraid random will be the way to go for me.

I dunno, either. Was it what Molly said about BTSC? I don't think she was hinting at her role or power (or lack thereof); I'm pretty sure she was just bragging about drinking with me while we very responsibly did NOT discuss our mafia roles. Other than that, I've got nothin'. And yes, exactly what Becky said there. All I was indicating was that suddenly, mid-gulp of delicious red, one of us said, "Shit, are we supposed to be lynching someone tonight?!" and we scrambled for our web browsers. Absolutely no role-hinting or other game talk was involved, cross our hearts. We love mafia to much to screw it up for everyone!
