THE RULES: 1. Mafia is fun. SO HAVE FUN! 2. Butt hurt is not allowed. If you feel the need to purchase some ointment, please do so and return promptly. 3. Nobody is allowed to talk about their role in mafia to other players unless they have BTSC (behind the scenes contact) with those players. 4. Once you receive your role, reply to me (or Heather) to let me know that you have gotten it, and with any questions you may have. Once you have replied, you may begin posting in the mafia thread. 5. Each day and night cycle will last for a maximum period of 24 hours. Each day cycle will end when everyone has voted for a player to be lynched, or when the time expires. 6. Once you have been lynched or are killed, you are out of the game and no longer allowed to post in the game thread or to contact any players about the game. Please be respectful as a lot of time and effort is put into these games. 7. Ask all questions about your role in a PM to me or Heather. Do not ask in the game thread where everyone can see! 8. NO ROLE HINTING...or it's OFF WITH YOUR HEAD! No making references to any hints that may or may not have been given, whether your own or anyone else's. This diminishes the fun of the game and takes away from the mystery. Feel free to speculate privately or in a BTSC group if you are part of one, but do NOT speculate on players' roles in thread based on anything other than gameplay itself (for example, publicly speculating that someone is mafia because of gameplay, night kills, lynch votes, etc. is okay; publicly speculating that a player may have been hinting about her role based on references in her posts is not okay). Doing so will result in penalties! This will now officially pertain to any secret trivias or bonuses. Just like in any other mafia game, the point is to make your case---do so with any trivia or bonus prizes additionally won without obviously hinting. 9. Please communicate with me about mafia using the in-forum private messaging system rather than through facebook or another method. This is where we will be checking for messages about night actions and special abilities, questions about roles and gameplay, and things like that. 10. Lack of participation will result in mod kill. End of story. 11. This is a game of luck, chance, and strategy. Make your case, and make a good one. Remember: EVERYONE IS A LYING LIAR until proven innocent. 12. MAFIAAAAAAA!!!
