Hey folks. Here is a place you can post am upcoming game ideas or just brainstorm.
Keep in mind you don't want to reveal in this thread or brainstorm about secret abilities, since it will take away the element of surprise for your game.
If you haven't hosted before, I strongly recommend you don't try to do it alone. It can be a little overwhelming at times and it's always a good idea to have a partner to help you out. At least for your first game.
As always, if you have any questions, feel free to ask people in the thread to give ideas or brainstorm. Have fun!

Here's what I've been working on! 
Princess Bride Mafia! (15ish players; can include book characters if more is necessary.  )
Townies:
They must eliminate all the villains to win. Can co-win with The Grandpa & Grandson.
Westley: Buttercup’s True Love, a.k.a. “Farm Boy”, a.k.a. “The Dread Pirate Roberts”. A masterful tactician with a dogged determination and resistance to iocaine powder.
If the townies manage to lynch Humperdinck, he & Buttercup with gain BTSC. However, since he’s been in disguise for so long, if investigated, he will appear to be a villain. *secret*
Buttercup: Westley’s True Love. Beautiful but sad.
She can convince her fellow Townies to pardon a lynchee once during the game. If the Townies manage to lynch Humperdinck, she & Westley will gain BTSC. She must live for the townies to win.
Fezzik: He’s big and strong, and can protect someone from a night kill.
He cannot protect the same person on consecutive nights, though. That’s just not sporting.
Inigo Montoya: On odd nights, he searches for Count Rugen. If he finds him, he gains a special ability.

Miracle Max: The local miracle man. BTSC with Valerie.

Valerie: Max’s wife. Not a witch.
BTSC with Max.
The Ancient Booer: Yes, technically, she only exists in a dream. Meh.
She knows who Westley and Buttercup are.
The Impressive Clergyman: He’s got an interesting speech impediment.
Any lynch votes against him are halved, due to everyone giggling.
The King: He’s old and sweet, and has no idea what’s going on.
Yellin: The most cowardly dude to ever become Head of the King’s Guard.
He’s only a Townie because he’s scared of that flaming Dread Pirate Roberts. Thus, if Humperdinck finds him, he will join the Villains.
Villains:
They must outnumber the Townies & Storytellers to win.
Prince Humperdinck: The leader. He searches for Buttercup on even nights (because he doesn’t really want to find her).
If he does find her, something very bad happens. *secret*
Count Rugen: He likes swords and pain.

The Albino: Rugen’s assistant/errand boy.
Vizzini: He’s very clever. Almost too clever.
Every night he may PM the mods a yes-or-no question. It only has a 60% chance of being answered correctly, however.
Storytellers:
They must survive until the end.
The Grandson: He likes this story, even if he doesn't want to admit it.
In an effort to prevent any of that kissy stuff, he may demand a cease of all BTSC for one period (day or night) of his choice, one time.
The Grandfather: He’s read this book before.
He can dodge one attempt to kill him (lynch or night kill). He can also investigate one person every night.

Some would call him narcissistic, others, simply brilliant. He is in love with Pepper Potts, and they share BTSC.  The Hulk The Hulk likes to smash things. |

This is my work in progress. Will be edited several times before I am finished. Hunger Games Mafia District 12 – The occupants of the poor, farthest outlying district. They must defeat the Career Tributes, President,and The Game Maker. They may align with the Capital Rebels and/or Non-Career Tributes but must outnumber them to win the game.
Katniss Everdeen:  Katniss – Girl tribute from district 12 and is the main provider for her family. *secret* Peeta Mellark:  Peeta Mallark - the boy tribute of District 12 and the son of a baker. He is kind and loyal. He becomes Katniss’ love interest and main ally during the Hunger Games *Secret* Gale Hawthorne:  Gale: Is Katniss' bestfriend and hunting partner. He is fiercely loyal. *secret* Primrose Everdeen:  Katniss’s little sister. She is small and gentle, and Katniss volunteers in her place when her name is drawn in the reaping. *secret* Haymitch Abernathy:  Haymitch: He is sole Victor from Disctrict 12. He is often drunk and staggering around. *secret* Mrs. Everdeen:  Mrs. Everdeen is the widowed mother of Katniss and Primrose. She was a skilled healer until she fell into a deep depression after her husband was killed in a mine explosion. *secret* Greasy Sae:  Sae - Is a kind elderly lady who often traded through the black market with Katniss and Gale. She sells soup at the Hobb. Madge Undersee:  Madge - She is the mayor's daughter and is Katniss' best girl friend. She gives Katniss the mockingjay pin to wear as a tocken to represent District 12 in the Hunger Games. Capital Rebels: Occupants of Panem's largest and wealthiest city are most known for their "creative" outfits and crazy sense of fashion. They must defeat all the Tributes (both career and non career), as well as the President and the Game Maker. They may align with District 12 to win.Effie Trinket:  Effie - She works as an escort for District 12. She is responsible for escorting tributes to the Capital and making the draws each year during the reaping. This bitch loves her mahogany. *secret* Cinna:  Cinna - Is Katniss' stylist during the Hunger Games and is responsible for creating The Girl on Fire image. *secret* Portia:  Portia - Is Peeta's stylist during the Hunger games. She and Cinna combine their sharp skills to spark the Capital's interest in their tributes. *secret* Octavia:  Octava - One of Cinna's prep team members. She is disgusted by Katniss' appearance and makes no bones about it. *secret* Venia:  Venia - One of Cinna's prep team members. She personality as is intense as her make up but is much better at hiding her feeling than her fellow prep team members. *secret* Flavious:  Flavius - Is one of Cinna's prep team members. He does Katniss' hair and may even enjoy ripping the hair off Katniss' legs. Freak. Non-Career Tributes: Tributes from various districts of Panem. The odds obviously weren't in your favour and now you're fighting for your lives. You must defeat the Career Tributes, Capital Rebels, President Snow, and The Game Maker. You may align with District 12 and/or Career Tributes but must outnumber district 12 and eliminate Career tributes to win.Rue  Thresh  Fox Face  Career Tributes: Tributes from district 1 and 2. You've been training for this all your life and are crazy enough to volunteer. This is a fight to the death. This game is still in the development phase. I have 20 potential characters. I don't like to give everything away, so this is just a preview. Caveman Mafia
The Uggs
Doug- Clan Chief. You have three main truths that you will stand by steadfastly: 1. Fire good. 2. Meat good. 3. Anyone trying to stage a coup should be taken out swiftly and with brute force. It is your job to protect your people and you will do so with any means necessary. *Secret* Shrug- Doug's second-in-command. You understand your role as wingman and you carry it well. Lug- Clan hunter, you wield a big stick. Mug- She-warrior, you frighten and intrigue the men of your clan. *Secret* Chug- Laid-back and fun-loving, it took you six moons (instead of the usual four) to complete hunter training. Jug- You may not be the best gatherer or make the most delicious mammoth-stew, but your hearth is never lonely. Many a caveman wishes to sit by your fire. The Ooks
Duke- Younger brother of Doug, you covet his position in the clan. With the help of your equally-disgruntled family, you plan to take out your brother (and anyone else who stands in your way) so that you may take your rightful place as Clan Chief. *Secret* Spook- Mate of Duke, you know that you were meant to be by the side of a Chief, not just a Chief's younger brother. Kook- Son of Duke and his mate, Spook. Although you have a rebellious side, you understand that if your father becomes Clan Chief, your future will also be secured. *Secret* Fluke- Daughter of Duke and his mate, Spook, you are a tiny terror. The Medicine Man
Quack- The Great Spirits communicate to the Clan through you, giving you a special position of reverence. *Secret* The Loner
Steve- You are Steve. You prefer to stick to yourself. Cavepeople be crazy. *Secret* |
